The Doctors Creek Trail starts from the easternmost bridge on the Bridges trail. To get to it, you need to start out on the Glen trail. When you come to the "Y" in about 100 to 200 feet, take the path to the right, marked Bridges trail. There is a long downhill slope to a bridge, then it comes to a "T". Take the right hand path. You'll come to a group of fallen trees across the trail that you may ride/climb over or take a short bypass path around this barrier if you prefer. This brings you to a "crossover" ("Y" like or fork like crossover) which leads to a bridge and soon to a "Y." This is a bit confusing at this point. Go right at the second marker to remain on the Doctors Creek trail.
Doctors Creek Trail follows a ridge along the creek and meanders through a beautiful section of hardwood forest. You will come to and continue on a crossover path to the right and soon get to a 4-way intersection with the Old Forge trail. Continue straight The map shows it as the second left, which might be very confusing here as it bends left on a ridge parallel to the Old Forge trail. After a considerable distance, you will see a beech tree with a large burl where someone has carved "TUMOR" above it. After rounding the curve at the furthest point in the park, you will pass a trail angling to the right. Ignore it as you proceed straight ahead to the horse farm. The trail parallels the farm fence and eventually you will see a path to your left that you may take up to the fence to view the horses. This section, at 250 feet is the highest point in the park. Continue back on the trail bearing left at the next "T" and eventually you will come to an intersection with Old Forge trail. Here there's a most confusing signpost with "Doctors Creek Trail" marked clearly on three sides. Just go straight and downhill and you will return to the start of the trail. Now return to the parking lot via your choice of legs of the Bridges trail. You may use "Trailhead" signs to pick out the shortest routes.
The Old Forge Trail starts from the easternmost bridge on the Bridges trail. As for the Doctors Creek trail, you need to start out on the Glen trail. When you come to the "Y" in about 100, but less than 200 feet, take the path to the right, marked Bridges trail. There is a long downhill slope to a bridge, then it comes to a "T". Take the right hand path. You'll come to a group of fallen trees across the trail that you may ride/climb over or take a short bypass path around this barrier if you prefer. This brings you to a "Y" like or forklike crossover which leads to a bridge and soon to a "Y" with Doctors Creek trail going left, and Old Forge to the right. This may be confusing, but turning right at marker #2 is an easier way to describe this.
Follow the right bend uphill to the signpost that indicates Doctors Creek on three sides. Turn left. At the 4-way intersection (again map shows it as second left, this might be very confusing) continue straight along a wooded ridge which parallels the Doctors Creek trail, but on a different ridge. The trail bends around toward the creek below. When it meets again with the Doctors Creek you can just go straight back to the beginning point. Now return to the parking lot via your choice of legs of the Bridges trail. "Trailhead" signs are helpful in picking out the shortest routes.

Unmarked spaces in gravel lot. Overflow parking on grass.
